Sogliano al Rubicone is ready to welcome travelers, food and wine tourists and simple lovers of good food for the 47th Sogliano DOP Fossa Cheese Fair. The Fair-which will animate the squares and alleys of the historic center during Sundays November 20 and 27 and December 4, 2022-has now become a nationally renowned event because over time it has been able to promote and renew the fascinating history of Fossa Cheese.

In addition to the renowned Cheese, which has been considered a small treasure since the 18th century, the Fair will be the perfect opportunity to taste and buy other typical Sogliano products such as Savòr, Saba, Montetiffi Clay Pans (ideal for cooking piadina), honey, cold cuts, and so on. But there will also be no shortage of other food and wine excellences, such as wines and cheeses, from different regions of Italy.

• “5 Ristoranti in Piazza”: cinque ristoratori soglianesi propongono 5 menù a base di Formaggio di Fossa (e non solo), da assaporare in un’ampia area riscaldata e al coperto. Cucineranno per voi:

As usual, the traditional lunch/restoration in the premises of the Pro Loco of Sogliano will not be missing . There will be many side events that will complement the gastronomic content of the fair: theatrical, musical and recreational performances, conferences, concerts, workshops, area dedicated to children and fun with animations and ancient games.

We recommend the Free Guided Tours TO DISCOVER SOGLIANO, a tour of the historic center of Sogliano al Rubicone with Tour Guide Sabrina Reali, who will take you on a journey that touches on history, monuments and landmarks, as well as flavors and gastronomy. Departures from tourist office at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., few places available, reservations recommended at 0541 817340 from Nov. 7, on the following days and times: Mon/Wed/Thurs/Fri 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sat/Sun 10 a.m.-1 p.m. It will also be possible to book on site during the Sundays of the fair subject to availability of places.

Not to be missed are the exhibitions and museums with free admission: the Vintage Record Museum, the Poor Art Collection, the Christa Line Museum, the Leonardo da Vinci and Romagna Museum, the Veggiani Collection, the Fossa Cheese Museum and the Mining Museum. During fair hours, the exhibitions and activities will remain open and with free admission. We also point out the efficient Free Shuttle Service for convenient parking.

It will be possible to book Free Guided Tours (departures at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.) in which a tour of the historic center of Sogliano al Rubicone will be conducted thanks to the professionalism of Tourist Guide Sabrina Reali, an exciting stroll through flavors, history, gastronomy, monuments and symbolic places will be illustrated. Few places available, reservation recommended at 0541 817340 on the following days and times: Mon/Wed/Thurs/Fri 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sat/Sun 10 a.m.-1 p.m. It will also be possible to reserve on site during the Sundays of the fair subject to availability of places.
