51st FAIR OF FOSSA DI SOGLIANO PDO CHEESE

Sogliano al Rubicone is ready to welcome travellers, food and wine tourists and simple lovers of good food for the 51st Fossa di Sogliano PDO Cheese Fair. The Fair – which will animate the squares and alleys of the historic center during the Sundays of 22, 29 November and 6 December 2026 – has now become a nationally renowned event because over time it has been able to promote and renew the fascinating history of Formaggio di Fossa.
In addition to the renowned Cheese, which has been considered a small treasure since the 18th century, the Fair will be the perfect opportunity to taste and buy other typical Sogliano products such as Savòr, Saba, Montetiffi Clay Pans (ideal for cooking piadina), honey, cold cuts, and so on. But there will also be no shortage of other food and wine excellences, such as wines and cheeses, from different regions of Italy.
In particular, we point out:
– “Restaurants in the Square”: Sogliano restaurateurs offer menus based on Fossa cheese (and not only), to be enjoyed in a large heated and indoor area
– “É Zîr dal Fòsi”: tasting of cheese aged in a pit and pairing with wines at the Fosse in the historic center of Sogliano al Rubicone, in collaboration with the “Consorzio dei Vini di Romagna”.
– Traditional lunch/refreshment at the premises of the Pro Loco of Sogliano.
There will be many collateral events that will surround the gastronomic content of the fair: guided tours, theatrical, musical and recreational performances, conferences, workshops, an area dedicated to children and fun with animations and ancient games. We also point out that the shuttle service, parking and the area reserved for campers are free of charge.
