This is the rich sound mosaic of the Orchestra of the School of Popular Music of Forlimpopoli, an atypical formation halfway between band and orchestra, born from an intuition of Davide Castiglia and now become an overwhelming folk dance machine. This year’s concert takes on a special significance: the festival celebrates twenty years of activity of this extraordinary project, two decades dedicated to the rediscovery, preservation and reinvention of traditional music.Led with passion by Maestro Castiglia, the intergenerational ensemble brings together on stage Masters, students and former students. Accordions, strings, woodwinds, mandolins, guitars and percussion merge in a choral dialogue that reworks the best pieces of the European folk tradition.
