Gabriele Pozzolini percussion Nubras in Arabic means brave person. In Urdu it is the lantern of one who breaks new ground. Nubras is also an international ensemble born in 2022, combining the search for elements of Balkan folk traditions, with jazz and classical music influences from Western Europe. The result is a bright and engaging journey into a chamber dimension of intimate sounds and rhythmic Balkan fanfares. An all-female classical string trio meets more jazz and folk souls.
