The work “Girl with book” was conceived by the artist Ilario Fioravanti (Cesena 1922 – Savignano 2012) sculptor, painter, artist and architect very close to the territory in particular to Roncofreddo, Sogliano, Savignano and Cesena. In 2009 he received the recognition of Honorary Citizen of Sogliano al Rubicone.

Today 2 works by the Master previously located inside Palazzo Marini (seat of the Municipality) can be enjoyed by walking in the historic center: “Girl with a book” in Via XX Settembre and “Woman milking the goat” in Piazza della Repubblica.

The movement of the works takes place in agreement with the Fioravanti family with the idea of enhancing them and making the use of the works accessible to a wider audience and embellishing the historic city center, enriching the intrinsic artistic and poetic meaning of the statues.
