The church, dating from the Renaissance period (15th century), is located in the hamlet of Montepetra; a substantial reconstruction was carried out in 1842. Attached to the church is a bell tower. Inside the church are three altarpieces of particular historical and artistic value: Altarpiece depicting the “Madonna of the Rosary” by Nicola Versari (1658); Altarpiece of “St. Lawrence” attributed to Nicola Versari (1658); and altarpiece depicting the “Madonna of Carmine” by Angelo Trevisani (1845). There is also a fourth pictorial work, in neoclassical style, placed on the left altar and depicting the “Madonna and Child,” by an anonymous artist, probably dating back to the early 19th century. Of note is the valuable baptismal font, made in 1495 and considered a small jewel of Renaissance sculpture.
