Strigara under Malatesta rule saw a period of great expansion.
After populating and building in the upper part, the population continued to inhabit and build houses even in the lower part, known as La Piana. Thus given the old age of the castle church and the opportunity for greater proximity to the population, in 1953 the Bishop of Montefeltro (on whom the parish depended) Monsignor Antonio Bergamaschi, had a new small church erected in Strigara, dedicated to the Holy Family.
