Originally it was an oratory attached to the Church of St. Mary of Vignola also used as a burial place. This recently renovated little temple is dedicated to peace, as it stands on the site of a bloody World War II battle between the Germans and the British. Inside was an anonymous canvas, now disappeared, depicting the Madonna and Child. A photo of the disappeared canvas remained, which allowed for the creation of a new painting that is now in the Church of Santa Maria in Vignola.
Inside is a reproduction of the Madonna and Child and a tribute to Picasso by painter Giancarlo Balzani.
