The present theater, located in Piazza G. Mazzini, was founded in 1867. In the 1950s it was used as a movie theater, and in 1954 its neoclassical facade was restored. Inaugurated again in 1997 after a radical restoration, it has the availability of 131 seats. Since 2001 it has been named after the Cesena-born, Sogliano-born artist Elisabetta Turroni, who dedicated her short but intense life to teaching and theatrical art, literature and poetry. In memory of Elisabetta inside the theater are a plaque by Sogliano artist Giancarlo Balzani and a sculpture by Cesena artist Leonardo Lucchi representing her, kindly donated by the Parenti family of Sogliano. In addition to theater reviews with nationally renowned authors, the Turroni Theater hosts concerts, conferences, and seminars. The following events are held during the year: Prova d’Attore
