After about 8 km of gentle ups and downs, you will have to confront the Montetiffi climb, referred to by local cyclists as “Tiffi Carogna”: 3 km with an average gradient at 5.8 percent and peaks at 16 percent. In addition to the Gran Fondo 9 Colli climb, Montefitti is known for its “teglie,” the handmade terracotta dishes for cooking piadina. Needless to say, it would be worth a stop to taste the real piadina from Romagna paired with Fossa di Sogliano DOP cheese and typical products.
