Farmhouse Cà Poggio
The farmhouse Cà Poggio was obtained from what was once the old stable and its porch.
The structure consists of the “restaurant” area with 2 rooms, a privé and an outdoor area, where you can have lunch and dinner while admiring a beautiful view; The accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms with private bathrooms.
In the educational farm we offer with professionalism and passion paths to make the agricultural world and the environment that surrounds them known; as well as to bring children closer to the agricultural world so as to make them know the origin of food and work in agriculture.
There is no shortage of animals that you can visit: horses, pigs, Carolina the cow, chickens, geese and rabbits…
The farm covers 18 hectares of gullies, woods and cultivated land.
The Ca’ Poggio Astronomical Observatory is located in Sogliano al Rubicone owned by the homonymous farmhouse. It is characterized by a fully automated ScopeDome with a diameter of 3 meters and a control office from which to manage and maneuver the entire infrastructure. Inside there is a Newton optical tube with a diameter of 10″ with which astrophotographic shots and research in the field of differential photometry are carried out. The observatory is registered with the Minor Planet Center with code L41. The structure offers evenings to the guests of the farmhouse carrying out visual observations with the instruments supplied with the structure and simple and pleasant explanations about planets, stars, constellations and all the topics related to news of Astronomy, Astrophysics and Cosmology.
