This itinerary, 9.7 km long, is quite challenging for some points with a strong difference in altitude. The estimated walking time is 3h and 15m.
The route is enriched by educational panels dedicated to the history, nature and curiosities of the most famous Italian river in the world: the Rubicon.
It starts from the historic center of Sogliano al Rubicone which houses some unique architectural beauties such as the “Fountain of the Butterflies” by Tonino Guerra in Piazza Matteotti and “The Girl with a Book” by Ilario Fioravanti in via xx Settembre. We recommend visiting some of the interesting permanent exhibitions set up at the Palazzo della Cultura: the “Permanent Exhibition of Records and Music Recordings”, the “Arte Povera Collection”, the “Leonardo da Vinci and Romagna Museum”, the “Christa Line Museum”, Within the boundaries of the historic center, we also point out the MUSO – Museum of the Underground, the “Veggiani Collection”, the ancient icehouse, the Museum of Mines and the Fosse del Formaggio di Fossa di Sogliano DOP. Reservations are recommended for the places mentioned above.
