He was an Italian Renaissance painter born in Sogliano al Rubicone.
In his youth he came into contact with Ramberto Malatesta, Count of Sogliano, and this influenced his artistic and cultural formation.
With his family, however, he was exiled because his father tried to poison Ramberto Malatesta.
After Malatesta’s death Scipione Sacco returned to Romagna.
Scipione was a pupil of Raphael and is mentioned as a “primary alumnus” of the great master.
Indeed, fifteenth-century and Raphaelesque echoes can be caught in his production.
