Strigara Castle, built around the 10th century, has a rich history. In 1059 it belonged to the church of Rimini, but from 1305 it was ruled by the Malatesta family, who held it, except for brief periods, until the mid-17th century. The fortress, because of its position, and solid structure, was always of significant strategic and military importance in the Middle Ages. Today, only a few fragments of walls remain, bearing witness to its ancient splendor.
