Artwork by Guerrino Bardeggia (1937-2004), a multifaceted artist who worked in painting, sculpture, graphic design, and ceramics. In his artistic career he mounted more than 100 solo exhibitions and won about 500 awards. The monument and the surrounding area, the Peace Park, underwent restoration and refunctionalization in the year 2002.
