Thanks to the merits of the farmers in the hamlet of Bagnolo, the Sogliano area has joined the APROCC (Association of Cherry Producers of the Cesenati Hills) Consortium. In particular, it was possible to save two local varieties of considerable prestige. The first is a dogwood cherry obtained from a native local clone, passed down for decades from a mother plant and never crossed. It is a late, sweet, elongated variety. The other, named “Morona,” has won considerable praise for its quality.
