Born in Savignano di Rigo hamlet of Sogliano al Rubicone he was a military man, among the most ardent interventionists at the outbreak of the First World War. He was the first to be decorated with a gold medal for military valor in the Great War.
His grave can be visited at the Savignano di Rigo cemetery, while the Christa Line Museum in Sogliano houses various artifacts that tell the story of Decio Raggi.
