When: Friday, July 12 and Friday, July 26, 2024 – 5:00 p.m. Location: Venanzio Reali Municipal Library – Piazza Garibaldi 23 Access: free (ages 8-12) – max 10 participants – duration 90 minutes Contact: biblioteca@comune.sogliano.fc.it Children’s workshop, archeogiocando is meeting girls and boys ages 8-12 at the Sogliano Library for two afternoons of discovering the works of artist Ilario Fioravanti, on display at the Oratory of St. Francis of Paola and Palazzo della Cultura. The terracotta and bronze animals on display will become the protagonists of ancient narratives and stories.
From the story of the refugee Aeneas, progenitor of Romulus and Remus, and the role of the she-wolf, their adoptive mother to the myth of glaucopid Athena and the owl to that of Zeus and the goat Amalthea, who became a star.
The workshop will continue with a creative phase, with pastels, clay, colored pencils, burins. The intent of the workshops, curated by Rosaria Martellotta, is to promote the protection and enhancement of cultural heritage, to develop a passion for the beauty of our territory and its rich environmental heritage, to educate reading and to develop manual skills and creativity.
