SOGLIANO BLUES, scheduled for Saturday, July 22, 2023 in Sogliano al Rubicone (Forlì-Cesena), is one of the most important Italian blues festivals now in its 10th edition. The event will take place with free admission in Piazza Matteotti starting at 6 p.m. and will feature Italian and international artists of the caliber of: JOANNA CONNOR Band (USA) “the Queen of Rock/Blues guitar,” with a fierce and assertive sound with slide effects comparable to Johnny Winters’ “high voltage” but with a unique and unmistakable sound. Born in Brooklyn, she moved at age 22 to Chicago where she met and played along with musicians such as James Cotton, Junior Wells, Buddy Guy! To her credit as many as 12 fantastic albums that have led her to be one of the most accomplished guitarists in the world. BOB MALONE Band (USA) an irrepressible virtuoso of the keys comes from Berkley College of Music, and in his career he has played with a range of top artists, from Al Green to Jackson Browne, from the Neville Brothers to Dr. John, Bruce Springsteen and Leon Russell, until joining the band of the great John Fogerty with whom he has been plying the world’s most important stages for 11 years now. GA-20 is a band that is clearly up to something big. It is a movement, a new revival of traditional blues. The dynamic returning blues trio is a disciple of the place where traditional blues, country and rock ‘n’ roll intersect. EGIDIO Juke INGALA & the JACKNIVES has been one of the most representative European bands in the blues scene for several years. Hundreds of concerts between clubs and festivals all over Europe, several records to their credit.
